Your decision to seek counseling is a healthy, proactive choice. We all could benefit from talking to a thoughtful, objective ally at different times in life.  I am an active, experienced behavioral coach who offers a calm forum to address concerns.  With humor and warmth I collaborate with clients in creating clear strategies for productive change.  My style is compassionate and empathetic, offering honest direct feedback with gentle confrontation.

I have studied human behavior for over 20 years, and problem solve from a theoretical orientation in Bowen family systems theory.  I also incorporate cognitive behavior therapy and therapeutic techniques to be most effective for each client.  In addition to insight, I believe people are looking for a clear plan to make the changes they want.  I invite clients to view the larger perspective in a calm place and develop a plan.

I specialize in the treatment of individuals and couples dealing with anxiety and stress, depression, low self-esteem, life transitions such as divorce, career and parenting challenges.  I also work with those having infertility issues and assist in adoption planning.  Drawing upon the concepts of John Gottman, I am a relationship coach that offers premarital and marital therapy, and help couples grow in their relationship satisfaction.
